Who Can Apply?

To apply for these positions, candidates must possess a medical postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline. Specifically, applicants must hold degrees such as MD, MS, DNB, M.Ch, or DM. This degree must have been obtained from an institution recognized by the Medical Council, and the candidate must also be duly registered with the relevant Medical Council.

However, certain candidates will not be eligible to apply for this recruitment. Individuals who have already completed a three-year tenure as a Senior Resident will not be considered eligible for this recruitment drive. The duration of Senior Residency completed at central institutions will also be counted towards this three-year limit.

What is the Age Limit?

According to the notification issued by the hospital, the maximum age of the candidate must be 45 years as of May 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with the rules of the Chandigarh Administration.

Fee for General, OBC, and EWS categories: ₹500
Fee for Scheduled Caste (SC) category: ₹250

What is the Salary?

Selected candidates will receive an initial salary of ₹67,700 per month under the Level-11 Pay Scale. Additionally, they will receive a Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) of 20% in accordance with Central Government rules. This means the total remuneration could be even more attractive.

When and Where Will the Interview Take Place?

The most distinctive feature of this recruitment drive is that candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview. Consequently, applicants will not have to wait for a lengthy written examination. The interview is scheduled to be held on May 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
