Came from Nepal, became ‘Bengali doctor’ in Lucknow, infiltrator arrested

The central and state governments are continuously taking strict steps to stop Bangladeshi infiltration, yet Bangladeshis are succeeding in entering UP through Nepal. Recently Lucknow Police has revealed a shocking case.

Police detained Arup Bakshi, who ran Bengali Chandsi Clinic for 11 years near Asti Railway Crossing located on Sitapur Road. During interrogation it was revealed that Arup is Bangladeshi.

How did Bangladeshi come and settle in India?

Arup Bakshi went to Nepal from Bangladesh in the year 2012. From there crossed Nepal border and reached Sitapur via Lakhimpur Kheri. He stayed in Maholi area for two years. During this time, he got Voter ID, driving license and other important documents made on the basis of fake documents.

Bangladeshi used to treat hydrocele

In the year 2014, he came to Lucknow and started living on rent in a lawyer’s house near Asti railway crossing. Here he opened Bengali Clinic. He used to treat people for hydrocele by calling himself a doctor.

Passport made with the help of fake documents

In the year 2016, he also got a passport made with the help of the same fake documents. The people of the area could not understand him as a Bangladeshi. According to the police, Aarup is married.

Have also applied for passport

Some time ago his parents had come to India with a visa. He is currently in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Police are collecting information about his wife and other family members. Arup had applied for passport at Sitapur address.

What questions are being raised?

The question is being raised that how did Sitapur Police and LIU investigate that he was not found to be a Bangladeshi. According to local people, Arup had purchased a plot in Mamapur Bana. He often visits Nainital and has property there also.

How has the action been taken?

Police is taking action based on the inputs received from Nepal Border and Sitapur Police. After the formation of the new government in Nepal, crossing the border without identity card has been stopped.

What’s next?

A case has been registered against Arup Bakshi under sections including fraud and Foreigners Act. Police are also searching for those who helped him in making fake documents.
