Noida Metro Extension: News bringing significant relief has emerged for the lakhs of people residing in Noida and Greater Noida West. Hopes have risen that the Aqua Line Metro extension project—which has been awaited for a long time—will now receive approval next month. If everything proceeds according to the planned schedule, metro connectivity from Sector-51 to Greater Noida West will soon see a significant improvement. This could offer substantial relief from traffic jams and long commute times for daily travelers. Notably, this project is expected to directly benefit approximately 500,000 people.

**Approval Expected in June**
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has accelerated its preparations regarding the Aqua Line Metro extension project. According to reports, the Public Investment Board has invited the NMRC management to deliver a presentation. It is anticipated that the project could receive approval by the second week of June. Following this, the process of initiating construction work is expected to gain momentum.

**Five Stations to be Built on a 7.5-Kilometer Route**
The proposed metro extension will span from Sector-51 to Greater Noida West Sector-4 (also known as Kisan Chowk). The total length of this route will be approximately 7.5 kilometers. Five new metro stations are slated to be built along this route; these include Sector-61, Sector-70, Sector-122, Sector-123, and Greater Noida West Sector-4. This will make commuting significantly easier for thousands of residents in the surrounding areas.

**Necessary Formalities Could be Completed in Three Months**
According to reports, the tendering process and other essential formalities related to the project could be completed within the next three months. Following this, there is a strong possibility that construction work will commence before Diwali. NMRC officials state that this project will further strengthen public transportation connectivity between Greater Noida West and Noida.

**Relief from Traffic Jams**
The population in Greater Noida West is growing rapidly. Consequently, the pressure exerted by vehicular traffic on the roads is also continuously increasing. Once the metro extension becomes operational, residents will have access to a superior and faster commuting option. Furthermore, significant relief is expected from the daily traffic congestion that currently plagues the area.
