Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this quaint Shiva temple stands on a quiet hilltop. Even though it is surrounded by colors, there is not a single color on this temple. The whole is constructed using metal wires and cement. From the entanglement on Mahadev’s head, to the snake coiled around his body, every marigold offered to Devadidev is made of cement. It is as if the artist has continued the construction work with abstract art. This country has a different type of temple. Just like the build, the back story will also surprise you.
It is as if the artist has continued the construction work with abstract art. At the very top of the temple, a few words are written in English – ‘Temple in my dream’ by twisting the metal wire. That is ‘Shiva temple seen in my dreams’. Seeing so far, many questions arise in the mind of any visitor or tourist about this Shiva temple. Veteran artist Satya Bhushan, who has spent 38 years of his life in making this temple, can answer them!
First of all it is good to inform that this temple is built in Himachal Pradesh. Of the one and a half million tourists who visit Himachal every year, many of them visit Chail Hill Station. But among them very few tourists know the whereabouts of Kumbh Shiva temple. This is the temple.
It is surprising to hear that Satya Bhushan has built the entire temple with his own hands. Construction work has started since 1980. He spent all his money to buy land, buy building materials for the temple. And then he worked day and night. Initially only locals knew about the temple. Later when people came to know, many came forward and donated freely. About 15 lakh rupees have been spent till the present period in the construction of Kumbh Shiva temple.

But why? What is the reason for such an artist? Satya Bhushan said that he dreamed of a temple 38 years ago! He woke up and decided to build it with his own hands. In school, he learned clay and wood idol making, carving etc. Use that education in this case. Although initially he was a source of laughter for many people. The 64-year-old artist lives just 50 meters from the temple since his divorce. Whenever he sees through the window, a tourist has stopped to visit the temple, he rushes to the temple premises. Press the switch to continue the lights, water fountains and music system.
It goes without saying that this Shiva temple is completely different. Any tourist will get a chance to see this art creation while visiting Chail in Himachal Pradesh.
