Arvind Kejriwal On Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: Petro companies have increased the prices of petrol-diesel 3 times in 10 days. National convenor of Aam Aadmi Party i.e. AAP and former CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is furious over the rising prices of petrol and diesel. On petrol and diesel becoming expensive, Arvind Kejriwal angrily said that the Modi government is giving slow poison to the countrymen. By increasing prices thrice in 10-15 days, the government is giving ‘slow poison’ to the public. He claimed that Russia and Iran are ready to give cheap oil to India, but the government is not taking it.
He claimed on Saturday that the prices have been increased for the third time in the last 10 to 15 days, due to which petrol and diesel have become costlier by about Rs 4 to 5 per liter. Calling it ‘slow poison’, Kejriwal raised questions on the government’s policy.
Questioning the decision, he said that Russia and Iran are ready to provide very cheap fuel to India, but the central government is clearly refusing to accept it. He made a unique appeal to the countrymen. Opinion has been sought from people through comments or direct messages (DM) on social media whether India should buy cheap oil and gas from there or not. He told that now even LPG has become expensive. Because of this, it is becoming difficult for the common man to run his household. People are in such shock that they cannot understand how much the prices will increase further.

Arvind Kejriwal further said that- Look at the pictures of Gorakhpur in UP, there people are sleeping on the roads at night. They are forced to sleep on the road at night wearing mosquito nets to get their gas cylinders filled in long lines. Look at these pictures of Maharashtra, of Akola, of Buldhana, how there is an outcry to get petrol and diesel. There is an outcry in the entire country due to rising prices and shortage of oil and gas. Russia and Iran are ready to give us oil at cheap prices. Should we buy cheap gas and oil from Russia and Iran? What is your opinion.
