Police termed the news of Commissionerate siege as wrong.

Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Vipin Tada has termed the news of siege of the Commissionerate premises as completely baseless. He said that the ITBP jawan had come for talks with his senior officers, while other jawans were present outside. He told that after talks the soldiers were sent back. According to police officials, the entire matter will be investigated on the basis of facts and if negligence is found at any level, legal action will be taken.

The allegation of negligence in treatment will be re-investigated

Police officials said that a few days ago, ITBP jawan Vikas Singh had filed an application alleging that due to the negligence of the hospital, his mother's hand had to be amputated. Since the matter was related to the health department, the application was sent to the Chief Medical Officer. After this, a committee of doctors was formed and the matter was investigated. However, Vikas Singh and ITBP officials had raised objections on some points on the investigation report. Now after talks, CMO and ITBP officials have agreed to conduct re-investigation on some points. Officials say that further action will be decided after the investigation report comes.

ITBP Commandant said- getting full cooperation from police

ITBP Kanpur Commandant Gaurav Prasad said that an appointment was taken with the Police Commissioner to discuss the medical examination report of his jawan's mother. For this reason the officers and soldiers had reached there. He said that he himself was present inside the meeting, while the soldiers were standing outside. Perhaps this situation has been misrepresented. He clarified that no incident like Commissionerate siege took place and full cooperation is being received from the police administration.

CMO said- investigation will be done again on some points

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Haridutt Nemi said that the investigation report is correct, but the points on which questions were raised during the conversation will be re-examined. After this the final report will be prepared.

What is the whole matter?

Vikas Singh, resident of Alimau village of Fatehpur district, is a constable in ITBP and is currently posted in Maharajpur ITBP camp. According to Vikas Singh, his mother Nirmala Devi (56) was suffering from difficulty in breathing, weakness and constipation. He was first shown to ITBP Hospital Maharajpur, where after first aid, he was referred to a private hospital under ITBP panel. During treatment there, he was kept on ventilator.

Vikas Singh alleges that during the treatment, his mother was given a wrong injection, after which the hand started turning black and the swelling increased. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to another private hospital located on Bithoor Road, where doctors had to amputate his hand.
