These heat rashes not only look bad, but the intense itching and burning sensation caused by them irritates and irritates the person badly.
Heat rashes develop fastest in those parts of the body that sweat the most and do not dry quickly. Generally, prickly heat occurs more on the neck, back, waist and chest. If you are also struggling with this problem, then some easy home remedies can give you relief and coolness naturally without medicines.
5 most effective home remedies to get rid of heat rashes
1. Take bath with neem water (Anti-Bacterial Bath)
Due to accumulation of sweat and dirt in summer, bacteria start growing on the skin, which is the main cause of prickly heat.
How to use: Put 10-12 neem leaves in bathing water and boil it well. Now mix this water in your bathing bucket. Neem contains abundant anti-bacterial and anti-fungal elements, which heal rashes and protect the skin from infection. If you want, you can also use soap with Neem properties.
2. Oatmeal Pack for Relief
Oats have excellent anti-inflammatory properties, which are helpful in soothing inflammation, redness and itching of the skin.
How to use: Grind one cup of oats in a mixer and make powder. You can take ‘oatmeal bath’ by mixing it in a bucket of cold water. If this is not possible, then prepare a paste (pack) by mixing oats powder with light water. Apply this pack on the affected part of the neck, back or waist, leave it for half an hour and then clean it with cold water.
3. Sandalwood paste (Natural Coolant)
Sandalwood is considered to be the best ‘natural coolant’ in Ayurveda. It absorbs the heat of the skin.
How to use: Make a thin paste by rubbing sandalwood or adding a little rose water to pure sandalwood powder. Apply this paste daily on the affected area. This will give internal coolness to the skin which will instantly soothe the burning sensation and itching.
4. Cucumber and Aloe Vera Magic Paste (Cucumber & Aloe Vera Pack)
If there is a sharp prickling and burning sensation in the skin due to prickly heat, then cucumber and aloe vera present in the house can provide the quickest relief.
How to use: Grate or grind the cucumber and make a paste and add fresh aloe vera gel to it. Apply this cold paste on the entire affected area and leave it. Wash it with normal water after half an hour. This is the best way to keep the skin hydrated and cool.
5. Cleanliness of the body is most important
The first rule to avoid heat rashes is hygiene. In summer, clean your body thoroughly with good anti-bacterial soap and take bath at least once or twice a day. Cleaning every corner of the body is important so that dirt, grime and sweat do not block the pores of the skin.
Don’t make this mistake even by mistake: Do not use talcum powder.
Often, as soon as people get prickly heat, they start sprinkling various types of talcum powder or cold scented powders on them, which can be quite harmful for the skin.
Why is it harmful: Be it medicated powder or simple talcum powder, when applied on prickly heat, it completely closes the pores of the skin. Due to blockage of pores, internal sweat is not able to come out, due to which bacteria grow more and heat rashes increase instead of decreasing. Therefore, instead of powder, always use the natural and cold paste mentioned above.
