Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke’s Maharashtra residence gets police protection
Police protection has reportedly been deployed outside the residence of Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the viral Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after the online political movement gained massive attention on social media.

According to officials, security arrangements have been made at Dipke’s residence in the MIDC Waluj area to manage public attention and prevent overcrowding as the topic continues trending online.

Cockroach Janata Party Goes Viral Across Social Media

The Cockroach Janata Party suddenly exploded online last week, quickly attracting attention through memes, satire and political commentary focused on issues such as unemployment, exam paper leaks and frustrations around the education system.

The movement gained traction particularly among young social media users, with several posts criticising job scarcity and repeated controversies linked to competitive examinations.

As the hashtag continued circulating widely, curiosity around the group and its founder increased significantly.

Police Say Security Is Preventive, Not Linked To Threats

Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Atulkar clarified that the police deployment was precautionary in nature and not linked to any formal threat complaint.

“‘We have given round-the-clock general police protection to Abhijeet Dipke's residence located in MIDC Waluj area. This is to ensure there is no crowding at his place since the CJP issue is trending on social media right now,” Atulkar told PTI.

The officer also denied reports suggesting the protection had been provided due to security threats.

According to him, no police station under his jurisdiction had received any official complaint regarding threats against Dipke.

Founder Claims Social Media Accounts Were Taken Down

Meanwhile, Abhijeet Dipke alleged on Saturday that the digital movement had faced a major crackdown online.

According to him, the party’s social media accounts and website had either been removed or compromised, leaving the organisation without access to its official digital platforms.

The claims quickly triggered fresh discussions online, with several users questioning whether the accounts were mass-reported or targeted in some other way.

Online Political Satire Continues To Gain Attention

The rapid rise of the Cockroach Janata Party highlights how social media-driven political satire continues influencing online conversations in India.

Although the movement began largely through memes and humorous content, many users appeared to connect with its criticism surrounding youth unemployment, examination issues and frustrations with the current system.

For now, the unusual political phenomenon remains one of the internet’s most talked-about trends.
