Bruno Fernandes has been named in Manchester United’s starting line-up to face Brighton in their final Premier League clash of the 2025-26 season this afternoon.
Michael Carrick’s men travel to the Amex Stadium for their last league outing of the campaign. For Fernandes, the match presents an opportunity to set a new single-season assist record, after he matched the 20-assist benchmark previously held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne last weekend.
The 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder was also crowned Premier League Player of the Season earlier this week, adding to his FWA Footballer of the Year honour.
Fernandes will captain a Manchester United side featuring three changes from the team that defeated Nottingham Forest in their previous match.
Noussair Mazraoui, Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu are all drafted into the starting XI, while Matheus Cunha moves to the bench. Casemiro is absent from the matchday squad, having played his final game for the Red Devils last week. The experienced Brazilian will leave the club when his contract comes to an end this summer.
Manchester United: Lammens; Mazraoui, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Mainoo, Mount, Fernandes; Amad, Mbeumo, Dorgu.
