Kolkata. On the basis of brilliant innings of KL Rahul (60), captain Akshar Patel (39), David Miller (28) and Sahil Parakh (24), Delhi Capitals scored 203 runs for five wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 70th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday.
Here today Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat for Delhi Capitals, the opening pair of Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul added 40 runs for the first wicket. Saurabh Dubey broke this partnership by dismissing Abhishek Porel (22) in the fifth over.
After this, Sahil Parakh, who came to bat, added 47 runs with KL Rahul for the second wicket. Sunil Narayan dismissed Sahil Parakh (24) in the 10th over. In the 13th over, Anukul Roy gave a big blow to Delhi Capitals by dismissing KL Rahul. KL Rahul played an innings of 60 runs in 30 balls, hitting five fours and four sixes.
In the 17th over, Varun Chakraborty gave the fourth success to Kolkata Knight Riders by dismissing captain Akshar Patel. Delhi Capitals scored 203 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. David Miller was out after hitting three sixes in the last over of the innings. He was dismissed by Saurabh Dubey.
David Miller scored 28 runs in 19 balls hitting three sixes. Ashutosh Sharma remained unbeaten after scoring 18 runs. Saurabh Dubey took two wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders. Anukul Roy, Sunil Narayan and Varun Chakraborty dismissed one batsman each.
