Summer vacation is over. At this time of the year, everyone naturally plans to travel. Some stay close to home, some go abroad with their families. As a result, the house remains locked for a long time. Most people don’t even think to turn off the inverter, even if they turn off all the electronics, including the fridge. But do you know that turning off the inverter like this can cause terrible danger? So let’s find out today what the inverter should do when going out of the house for a long time.
1. If going out for a week or two, and keeping your home’s main power supply running, put the inverter in ‘normal mode’. Even if no electricity is used, the inverter battery will be charged. Advanced technology inverters have multiple modes.
2. If you turn off the main power supply completely, turn off the power switch of the inverter first. Then remove the plug from the wall. Also disconnect the battery terminals. This will not drain the battery. But if the house is empty for a long time, it is better to keep the inverter off.
3. If the main power is on, disconnect fans, lights, TVs, kitchen appliances, chargers and anything else that consumes electricity. Just plug in the inverter. It will charge the battery. If you see that there is no electricity, don’t worry. But if you go out for a long time, it is better to turn off the connection. Otherwise, the risk of explosion cannot be completely ruled out.
