New Delhi . The prices of petrol and diesel were increased again across the country on Monday. Oil companies have increased the price of petrol by Rs 2.61 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.71 per liter. This is the fourth time in the last 10 days that fuel prices have been increased.
After the new prices, petrol in Delhi has become Rs 102.12 and diesel Rs 95.20 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata has reached Rs 113.51 per liter. Whereas petrol is being sold at Rs 111.21 per liter in Mumbai and Rs 107.77 per liter in Chennai.
According to experts, pressure on oil companies has increased due to increase in the price of crude oil in the international market, weakness of the rupee and increase in import costs. For this reason, fuel prices are continuously increasing. Due to diesel becoming expensive, the cost of transport and freight may also increase. Due to this, there is a possibility of increase in the prices of everyday items in the coming time.
