Tezzbuzz Desk- The problems of common people are increasing due to continuous increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG in the country. Fuel prices have been increased for the fourth time in the last 11 days, after which the price of petrol has crossed Rs 100 per liter for the first time in the capital Delhi. According to the new rates, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.12 per liter and diesel at Rs 95.20 per liter in Delhi.
Government oil companies have increased the price of petrol by Rs 2.61 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.71 per liter. Even before this, prices were increased continuously on May 15, May 19 and again on Saturday. After four increases, the prices of both petrol and diesel have increased by about Rs 7.50 per liter.
In other metros of the country too, petrol has already crossed Rs 100. Petrol has become Rs 113.51 per liter in Kolkata, Rs 111.21 in Mumbai and Rs 107.77 per liter in Chennai. At the same time, diesel prices are also continuously increasing. Diesel is being sold at Rs 99.82 per liter in Kolkata, Rs 97.83 in Mumbai and Rs 99.55 per liter in Chennai.
Along with fuel, the prices of CNG are also continuously increasing. On Saturday, the price of CNG was increased by one rupee per kilogram. Now CNG has become Rs 81.09 per kg in Delhi. This is the third increase in the last few days and overall CNG prices have increased by Rs 4 per kg.
According to experts, due to increasing tension in West Asia and conflict to Iran, there has been a huge rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market. The situation in the Gulf region became tense after the attack on Iran by America and Israel, which affected the Hormuz Strait, an important sea route for oil supply. Due to this, global crude oil prices have increased by more than 50 percent.
The rising prices in the international market are now directly impacting Indian consumers. After remaining stable for a long time, oil companies have been continuously increasing the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG since mid-May. The continuous rise in fuel prices amid rising inflation has put additional economic pressure on both the general public and the transport sector.
