Pay Commission will reach Lucknow in June

According to the official schedule, the 8th Central Pay Commission will visit Lucknow on 22 and 23 June 2026. During this, the Commission will meet representatives of various employee organizations, unions and departments to the Central Government. The main objective of these meetings is to understand the real problems and expectations of the employees so that on that basis the Commission can prepare its recommendations.

Application will have to be made by June 10

Employees who want to present their views before the organization or union commission will have to apply online before June 10, 2026. For this, it will be necessary to take an appointment on the official website of the Commission. Unique Memo ID will be required at the time of application, which will be issued after registration of the organization.

Organizations from other states wait

At present, the Commission has advised organizations from outside Uttar Pradesh not to apply for the Lucknow meeting. The Commission says that for other states, meetings will be organized in different phases so that the opinion of employees of all sectors can be taken.

Major changes in salary and pension

The recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission will impact lakhs of central employees and pensioners across the country. It is believed that the Commission may suggest major changes in the salary, allowances and pension structure. New recommendations will be prepared keeping in mind inflation, rising cost of living and salary system of private sector.

The decision will be taken keeping in mind the economic situation

The Commission is working under the rules decided in November 2025. In this, aspects like the economic condition of the country, government expenditure, need for development projects and private sector salaries are also being kept in mind. This is the reason why this time the recommendations of the Pay Commission are being considered very important.
