What is the Application Fee?
For this recruitment, male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹25, which is non-refundable. This fee can be submitted via Visa/Master/Rupay Credit or Debit Cards, UPI, and Internet Banking. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, as well as women from all categories, have been granted a complete exemption from the application fee.
**How will the selection be conducted?**
Candidates will be selected based on an interview, or—depending on the specific post as determined by the UPSC—based on an interview conducted after a recruitment examination. Should a large number of applications be received, the Commission may utilize academic qualifications, work experience, and other criteria for shortlisting purposes, or it may opt to conduct a written examination. Being called for an interview alone does not guarantee selection; the final appointment will be made by the concerned Ministry.
**Age Limit Conditions**
For this recruitment drive, the age limit has been prescribed differently for each specific post, and it will be calculated as of June 12, 2026—the final date for submitting applications. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations; for instance, SC/ST candidates receive a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates 3 years, and PwD candidates receive relaxation as per the applicable rules. However, candidates from reserved categories applying for unreserved (General) posts will not be eligible to avail themselves of this age relaxation benefit.
