Erling Haaland once again set the benchmark for attacking brilliance in the 2025/26 Premier League season, leading all players in combined goals and assists. The Manchester City forward proved unstoppable, directly contributing to more goals than any other player in the competition.
Haaland clinched the third Premier League Golden Boot of his career with an impressive 27 goals, while also providing eight assists. He was one of only two players to achieve over 30 goal involvements during the campaign.
The Norwegian striker has reached such elite levels that even a season with these numbers is now viewed as routine by his own high standards.
With 27 goals securing him his third Golden Boot, Haaland joined an elite group, with only Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah having won the award more times. His tally of eight assists also placed him among the top five playmakers in the league.
Bruno Fernandes enjoyed a record-breaking season in 2025/26, capturing the Playmaker Award with a remarkable total of 21 assists — a new single-season record that surpassed the previous best held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. The FWA Footballer of the Year also chipped in with nine goals, underlining his all-round influence for Manchester United.
Igor Thiago was another standout performer, scoring 22 goals — second only to Haaland. Interestingly, the forward registered just one assist, reflecting his pure goal-scoring focus throughout the campaign.
Antoine Semenyo also made headlines with 21 goal involvements across two clubs. After transferring from Bournemouth to Manchester City in January, Semenyo hit top form at the Etihad, netting 11 goals post-move and famously scoring the FA Cup final winner against Chelsea.
Jarrod Bowen and Joao Pedro each ended the season with 20 goal involvements. For Bowen, the feat was particularly impressive given West Ham’s relegation, which now leaves the club facing the possibility of losing their captain in the summer. Meanwhile, Pedro quickly adapted to life at Chelsea following his £60 million transfer from Brentford and finished as the club’s top scorer.
