New Delhi. The playoff scenario in IPL 2026 has now become completely clear. Rajasthan Royals have performed brilliantly and made it to the playoffs following, while the journey of Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders has ended.
In the important match played on Sunday (May 24), Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 30 runs and secured the playoff ticket. In this match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Rajasthan, batting first, had scored 206 runs, in response to which Mumbai Indians could not achieve the target.
With this win, Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders were out of the tournament. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had already confirmed their place in the playoffs. According to the points table, RCB stood first, Gujarat Titans second, Sunrisers Hyderabad third and Rajasthan Royals fourth.

Now in the playoffs, there will be a match between RCB and Gujarat Titans in Qualifier-1. The team that wins this match will directly reach the finals, while the losing team will get another chance. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will face each other in the eliminator.
The matches of Qualifier-1, Eliminator and Qualifier-2 will be played on 26, 27 and 29 May respectively, while the final will be held on 31 May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
