One such memorable incident is to the film Dostana (1980), in which Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha were in the lead roles.

An interesting atmosphere was seen in the studio during the recording of the famous duet song “Salamat Rahe Dostana Hamara” of this film. It is said that Mohammad Rafi had reached the studio on time and had also rehearsed the song with full preparation. His classical and melodious voice impressed everyone present there.

But when Kishore Kumar reached the studio, instead of making the atmosphere serious, he made it light-hearted. He started joking with Rafi Sahab, due to which many people felt that he was not serious about singing. At that time many people thought that Rafi Saheb would win with his performance.
