The bus was going from Delhi to Bihar
Unnao. A double-decker AC bus lost control and collided with the divider on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Auras area of Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. The bus overturned after the collision. Six people on board the bus were killed and 21 people, including three policemen, were injured. The accident happened near Nibha Kheda village on the expressway in Auras police station area at around 5.15 am.
There were about 50 passengers in the bus going from Delhi to Bihar and initial investigation has revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to dozing. According to eyewitnesses, the bus was traveling at high speed and suddenly collided with the divider and overturned. After the accident, the bus hung on the railing, due to which many passengers fell from the windows.
Six people have died in this incident, efforts are being made to identify them. 21 other people including three policemen were also injured in the accident, some of whom have been sent to the Trauma Center in Lucknow in critical condition while other injured are being treated in the district hospital. Sources said that the police have registered the case and started investigation.
