K living in Puducherry. A video of Pajanivel is going viral on social media. In the video, he was seen paying obeisance to PM Narendra Modi. Of. Pazhanivel has received the Padma Shri award for his contribution to sports and martial arts education. Where before receiving the award he went to PM Modi and greeted him with folded hands. This award was given to him by President Draupadi Murmu.

Of. Pazhanivel has been awarded the Padmashree Award for the first time. Earlier he had received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Martial Arts in 2023. Apart from this, he has already received many awards for martial arts. Of. Pazhanivel has not only taught and propagated martial arts but has also played an important role in spreading the ancient Tamil martial arts.

It can be clearly seen in the viral video that K. Pajanivel first went to PM Modi, saluted him, then lay down and prostrated himself. In whose honor Modi also stood up from his seat. After this. Pazhanivel went ahead and took the award from Draupadi Murmu.

After receiving the award, Pazhanivel expressed his happiness in an interview, in which he said that he considers this award as an encouragement to bring Tamil heritage to the whole world. He also advised the present government that Silambam martial arts should be taught to children in schools. For your information, Silambam is a popular form of martial art, in which a warrior protects himself with the help of sticks.

Pajanivel’s contribution to martial arts

Pazhanivel was born on 30 January 1973 in Puducherry. In his childhood, Master Rajaram taught him the ancient Tamil martial art i.e. Silambam. After which. Pajanivel has taught martial arts to many students without taking any money. He has propagated ancient martial arts. Through him the ancient martial arts of Tamil have reached the new generation.
