Erling Haaland says Manchester City must keep driving for silverware after Pep Guardiola's decision to leave. Guardiola confirmed the end of a 10-year spell at the Etihad, and major players Bernardo Silva and John Stones have also moved on, leaving a reshaped squad targeting more trophies.

Manchester City ended the season as Premier League runners-up but still lifted two domestic cups. The team beat Arsenal in the EFL Cup final and overcame Chelsea in the FA Cup final, completing a domestic double as Guardiola signed off from a decade that brought 20 major trophies.

The club has not yet confirmed Guardiola's replacement, although Enzo Maresca is widely reported as the leading candidate. Bernardo Silva and John Stones, important figures throughout Guardiola's reign, have departed, yet Haaland believes Manchester City can stay competitive at the top level in England and Europe.

"It has been an up-and-down season, but we are going to try to keep pushing and try to fight to win the biggest trophies we can, Haaland said. That's what we want to win, and we are fighting to win everything again. It has been a pleasure to play with Bernardo and John, and of course, for Pep. It has been an amazing journey, but we need to keep pushing and fighting even without them. Now it is time to celebrate them, and they are truly legends of the club."

Haaland's comments underline the expectation that Manchester City will challenge on all fronts despite Guardiola, Bernardo Silva and John Stones leaving. The squad now adjusts to a new head coach, but the focus inside the club remains clear, with trophies still described as the standard target every season.
