New Delhi. Congress has currently put an end to the speculations about changing the CM face in Karnataka. With this it has been decided that Siddaramaiah will remain the Chief Minister. The Congress high command today held a meeting with state CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, in which it was believed that a decision could be taken on changing the Chief Minister. However, after the meeting, Congress National General Secretary KC Venugopal while talking to the media told the agenda of the meeting.

Congress MP KC Venugopal said, we had detailed discussions today with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, in which Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar was also present. Today’s entire discussion was focused on the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections and Karnataka councilor elections. Venugopal told reporters, whatever speculations you are making, there was no discussion on them. Today we only discussed councilor elections and Rajya Sabha elections and their candidates will be announced soon. On the other hand, various media reports have claimed on the basis of sources that in the meeting the Congress top leadership asked Siddaramaiah to resign from the post of CM. In return, he was assured of being sent to Rajya Sabha and given big responsibility in Delhi, but Siddaramaiah was not ready to leave the post of CM.

Let us tell you that supporters of DK Shivakumar say that after his victory in the 2023 assembly elections, he was promised to be made the CM, instead Siddaramaiah was made the Chief Minister. At the same time, some supporters also say that later there was talk of making Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar as CM for 2.5-2.5 years. However, the news of change of leadership has been continuously rejected by the Congress.
