Indian electric two-wheeler brand Ultraviolette had showcased its first electric scooter, the Tesseract, last year. Just like Ultraviolette’s motorcycles, the Tesseract scooter also created ripples in the EV segment for multiple reasons. The brand had unveiled the scooter, announced the prices, and even opened bookings for it last year. However, the official launch of the scooter has not happened yet. Now, Ultraviolette has released a social media post where the brand is dropping a hint for its followers.

The social media post has been shared by Ultraviolette on its official Instagram page. In the post, we see the Tesseract scooter, and there is text above the scooter that says, “Updates in 24 Hrs”. The scooter was completely unveiled last year, and it looks like the brand is now ready with a specific date or is ready with a launch timeline for the official launch of the electric scooter.

For those who are unaware, the Tesseract is probably one of the most advanced-looking scooters in this segment. The reason why it grabbed people’s attention was because of its styling and aggressive pricing. It was launched at Rs 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom. At the time of launch, the brand had mentioned that the first 10,000 customers would get the scooter at an introductory price of Rs 1.2 lakh.

Other than this exciting pricing, Ultraviolette has loaded the electric scooter with a lot of technology and features. The Tesseract is based on Ultraviolette’s next-generation platform. The front looks wide, and the overall design of the scooter is inspired by a spacecraft.

The scooter gets a host of features like a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display, an integrated dashcam, wireless phone charging, haptic feedback on the handlebar, and more. It also comes with first-in-segment dual radars, front and rear cameras that act as dashcams and also assist features such as blind-spot detection, overtake alerts, and collision alerts.

The scooter comes with dual LED projector headlamps with floating DRLs, connected features, keyless access, park assist, hill hold, cruise control, navigation, music controls, and more.

The scooter will come with 14-inch wheels, and Ultraviolette has also taken care of practicality by offering 34 litres of under-seat storage. The scooter comes with disc brakes at the front and rear, and we also get dual-channel ABS, traction control, dynamic stability control, and more.

The scooter, at the time of launch last year, was offered in three shades: Desert Sand, Sonic Pink, and Stealth Black. As mentioned above, the scooter is based on a new platform. The Tesseract scooter will come with 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh, and 6 kWh battery-pack options. The battery packs power an electric motor that generates 20.1 bhp, and the scooter can do 0–60 km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

The claimed range of the Tesseract at the time of launch was 261 km. We assume those numbers were actually for the bigger battery-pack version. If Ultraviolette launches the 6 kWh battery version, it is expected to come with an even longer claimed riding range.
