Suvendu Official Initiatives: A huge change is being seen in the politics of West Bengal. As soon as the new Chief Minister of the state, Subhendu Adhikari assumed office, he has taken a series of big decisions for the welfare of the people. After the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state, the Chief Minister has announced many new schemes keeping in mind the women, the poor and the social system.
These schemes are for women
These schemes include Annapurna Yojana which provides financial assistance to women and a scheme which provides food at very low prices. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has made it clear that his government is fully committed to the development of Bengal and the welfare of the people and administrative reforms are also being carried out in this regard.
Annapurna Yojana forms will be distributed
Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari held an important administrative meeting in Kalyani in Nadia district. Talking to journalists after this meeting, he told that from May 27, the state government is going to start the work of distributing forms of Annapurna Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women of the state will be given financial assistance of Rs 3000 every month.
The CM also made it clear that the forms of this scheme will be issued from the state secretariat and all Indian citizens are fully eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme. This scheme is being considered a big step for the economic empowerment of the women of Bengal.
These announcements have been made for the poor
To provide relief to the poor and common people, Shubhendu government has started another unique initiative. The Chief Minister has announced that the state government will provide food of fish and rice for just Rs 5. For this, about 400 special canteens will be built in the entire state. This economical and nutritious food will be served to the people in these canteens two days a week.
This decision will provide great relief to those poor laborers and common people who earn and eat daily. Along with this, while improving the health sector, the state government has also decided to separate the AYUSH department from the state health department and create a new and independent department.
Strict rules also apply regarding liquor shops
In order to improve social security and environment, the Chief Minister has ordered to implement a very strict rule regarding liquor shops also. According to the new rules, now no liquor shop can be run within a radius of one kilometer of any school, college or place of worship in the state. This decision was being demanded for a long time and this step of the government will make the environment around educational institutions and religious places peaceful and safe.
Took oath on May 9
Let us tell you that Subhendu Adhikari took oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal on 9 May. Bharatiya Janata Party registered a historic victory in the state assembly elections and ended the nearly 15-year-old rule of Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee. Since becoming the Chief Minister, Subhendu Adhikari has been taking tough and big decisions one after the other.
Only last week he had given instructions to launch a big campaign against illegal immigrants. He has ordered all the District Magistrates to create holding centers to keep the caught illegal immigrants before sending them back.
Steps also taken regarding irregularities in government jobs
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also talked about bringing a new recruitment policy to prevent irregularities in government jobs in the state. In an event organized in Kolkata, he told that the government will present a new recruitment policy in the next budget session and for this, new laws and bills will also be brought in the Assembly so that complete transparency is maintained in government jobs.
Orders given for re-investigation in this matter
Shubhendu government has also given orders to the police to re-investigate the cases of political violence that took place after the 2021 elections. The Chief Minister has said that the families of those who have become victims of political violence in the last five years can file a complaint with evidence. The police will investigate every case thoroughly and the culprits will be sent behind the bars.
