Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited has issued a notification for recruitment to apprentice posts (NPCIL Recruitment). For which the application process has also started. Candidates can apply in offline mode till 30 June 2026. Before this, candidates should have other information to the vacancy including eligibility and selection process. Therefore it is advised to read the notification before filling the form.
The total number of vacancies is 158. The duration of training will be 1 year. There are 39 vacancies for trade apprentice fitter, 10 for machinist, 6 for turner, 6 for welder, five for draftsman, 18 for electrician, 18 for instrument mechanic, 18 for electronic mechanic, one for carpenter, one for plumber and two for mason.
There are 6 vacancies for Diploma Apprentice Mechanic, three for Electrical, 6 for Electronics & Instrumentation and three for Civil. There are 7 vacancies for Graduate Apprentice Non Engineering Human Resources, three for Contract and Material Management, two for Finance and Accounts, two for Health Physical Unit and two for Chemical Laboratory.
How to apply?
Candidates will not have to pay any kind of fee to apply. NAPS 2.0 for Trade Apprentice ( ) and NAT 2.0 Portal for Diploma or Graduate Apprentice ( It will be mandatory to go and register. After this the official website of NPCIL Download the application form in the “Oppurtunities” section of HR Management at. Fill it as per the instructions and send it to the given address “Deputy Manager (HRM) Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Madras Atomic Power Station Kalpakkam, 603 102, Changalpattu, Tamil Nadu” but within the stipulated time.
Qualification and age limit
To apply for Trade Apprentice post, candidates must have ITP pass certificate in relevant trade in full time or regular mode. To apply for the post of Diploma Apprentice, it is mandatory to have Diploma pass certificate in Engineering/Technology. To apply for the post of Graduate Apprentice, it is mandatory for the candidates to have a graduation degree in any non-engineering or general stream.
The age limit prescribed for Trade Apprentice posts is minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years. The age limit prescribed for Diploma Apprentice is minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years. Whereas the age limit prescribed for Graduate Apprentice Non-Engineering posts has been fixed at minimum 21 years and maximum 28 years.
selection process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in ITI/Diploma/Graduation. Preference will be given to those students who live in villages located within 16 km radius of the MAPS plant site. If all the posts are not filled by local candidates, the remaining applicants will also be included in the merit list. After this, document verification and medical examination will be conducted.
This much will be the monthly stipend
- Trade Apprentice – Rs 9,600 for 1 year ITI holder, Rs 10,560 for 2 year ITI holder
- Diploma Apprentice-Rs 10,900
- Graduate Apprentice – Rs 12,300
