Earlier, he was out in the same manner in a match played against Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2022. Mumbai’s legendary all-rounder Kieron Pollard was bowling at that time. Sai Sudarshan has now become the 20th player overall to be out hit wicket in the history of IPL. But he is the only and first batsman in the league to lose his wicket in this manner twice.
