Hong Kong actor Nick Cheung sold a luxury apartment in Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels District, taking an estimated loss of HK$7.1 million (US$900,000).

The apartment is located in Grenville House, an established luxury residential complex known for its low-density development, privacy and affluent celebrity residents, local outlet Sinchew reported.

It features four bedrooms and a usable floor area of about 312 sqm.

Cheung purchased the property for HK$131 million in 2017 and sold it for HK$132 million in May 2026. He reportedly took a loss of HK$7.19 million after accounting for taxes and agency fees.

His family lived in the apartment for about three years before listing it for sale, but the property was only sold this year, according to Aboluowang newspaper.

In recent years, the 61-year-old actor has kept a low profile and reduced his workload to spend more time with his family. In May, he and his wife, Esther Kwan, were seen attending a concert by Hong Kong duo Farmers.

Cheung is a Hong Kong actor, singer and director who began his career at TVB in the late 1980s. He later gained recognition through films such as “SPL: Sha Po Lang”, “Beast Stalker” and “From Vegas to Macau”. He won Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2009 for his performance in “Beast Stalker”.
