What is ‘Rami al-Jamaraat’?

What is the religious story of the ritual?

How is this ritual performed during Hajj?
During Hajj pilgrims go to Mina Valley and throw pebbles at three large pillars. Usually several pebbles are thrown at each pillar, and this process is completed in sequence. This ritual symbolizes renouncing evil and moving towards spiritual purity.

This ritual is performed in the last days of Hajj, which is directly to the festival of Eid-ul-Azha. On this day, Muslims around the world sacrifice animals and distribute their meat among the needy.
