Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma, comprehensive security and vigilance arrangements are being ensured by the district police to conduct the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) festival in a safe, peaceful and harmonious environment. In view of the festival, police patrolling, checking and monitoring is being done continuously in sensitive areas of the district, major markets, religious places and crowded places. In the same sequence, Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Shri Abhishek Verma took stock of the security arrangements by conducting flag march and area domination with adequate police force in the Robertsganj police station area and assured security to the general public.
Also under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and Area Officer City Randhir Mishra, under the police station Robertsganj area, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Operation Rishabh Runwal and Area Officer Duddhi Rajesh Kumar Rai, under the leadership of Area Officer Pipri Harsh Pandey, under the police station Pipri area, under the leadership of Area Officer Ghorawal Rahul Pandey, under the police station Shahganj area, Area Officer Sadar Raj. Similarly, all the police stations of the district took stock of the security arrangements by conducting flag march and area domination in the police station area with adequate police force by Sonkar under the leadership of police station Pannuganj area and under the leadership of Area Officer Obra Amit Kumar.
While assuring the general public about safety during the flag march, people were appealed to celebrate the festival by maintaining mutual brotherhood, social harmony and mutual respect. Besides giving a strong warning to the anti-social and anarchist elements, it was made clear that strict legal action will be taken against those who spread any kind of rumour, incite religious sentiments, circulate misleading or objectionable posts on social media, create ruckus or try to influence law and order.

Police officers established communication with businessmen, religious leaders, elite persons and local citizens and appealed for cooperation in conducting the festival in a peaceful environment. Besides, instructions have been given to all police station in-charges to keep a special vigil on sensitive places by being constantly on tour and to increase night patrolling. The district police is also continuously monitoring the situation through drone cameras, CCTV surveillance and social media monitoring, so that any untoward situation does not arise.
Sonbhadra Police appeals to the general public not to pay heed to any kind of rumor and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Peace and law and order are completely normal in the district and all necessary arrangements are being ensured by the police administration to conduct the festival safely.
