Move over, Ram Charan! There’s a new star in town.

The Telugu superstar may be currently touring the country promoting his highly anticipated sports action drama, Skinsbut the spotlight is firmly on his bodyguard, Kevin Kunta. A Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Kunta has reportedly been hired by Ram Charan to handle his personal security.

Skins features Jahnvi Kapoor, and is set to release on July 4. It is Charan’s big theatrical release after the success of RRR.

It was while visiting Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Bhopal that the star was spotted along with Kunta. Being the Colosseum Champion Belt MMA Italy champion, the Gambian-native is a popular figure on social media where he frequently makes fitness- content. Social media has been abuzz with discussions on his confident body language, physique and sense of fashion, with Ram Charan fans appreciating the tailored suits and luxury watches Kunta sports.

Reports suggest he is being paid ₹2-₹4 lakh per day, putting him alongside some of the highest paid security guards in the Indian film industry.

He is seen effectively managing large crowds, all while dressed in sharp all-black outfits. While some netizens say that he “looks like a movie villain” or “hero material”, others are calling him “the most stylish celebrity bodyguard”.

Kunta, who lives in Florence, has reportedly represented Italy’s national MMA team in 2021.

Skins is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, and also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani. The film is set against a rural backdrop and is believed to be rooted in 1980s Andhra Pradesh. Ram Charan underwent a striking physical transformation for the role, training as a wrestler for over a year.

The music has been composed by A.R. Rahman, with the rights acquired by T-Series. The film has been produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and distributed by Mythri Movie Makers.
