The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has released the final results for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2026. This comes as major news for candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the results for a long time. Under this recruitment process, a total of 19,838 candidates have been selected. Candidates can now visit the official CSBC website to view their results and the merit list. A record number of candidates participated in this recruitment drive.

Eligible candidates were selected following a multi-stage process, ranging from the written examination to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The joining process for the successful candidates is scheduled to commence in June.

**Millions of Candidates Participated in the Recruitment Drive**
More than 1.7 million (17 lakh) youths from across the state applied for this massive Bihar Police recruitment drive. Of these, approximately 1.33 million (13.30 lakh) candidates appeared for the written examination. Based on the written exam results, around 99,000 candidates were shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Subsequently, approximately 79,932 candidates appeared for the physical tests. Based on their performance across all stages, 19,838 candidates were finally selected.

**Appointments Across Various Departments**
Of the selected candidates, 16,852 have been allocated positions within the District Police and other units of the Bihar Police, while 2,986 candidates will be deployed to the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP). The participation of female candidates was a notable highlight of this recruitment drive; the selected list comprises 12,509 men and 7,312 women. Additionally, 17 transgender candidates have also been selected. Furthermore, under special reservation categories, 332 Home Guards and 190 dependents of freedom fighters have successfully secured positions.

**Category-wise Cut-off Marks and Joining Process**
The CSBC has also released the category-wise cut-off marks; for the General Category, the cut-off has been set at 76 marks for male candidates and 72 marks for female candidates. According to the Board, the joining process for selected candidates will commence on June 20, 2026, and continue until July 19, 2026. A medical examination will be conducted for all candidates before joining.
