According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), a big U-turn is going to be seen in the weather of the state from today i.e. May 28. Due to a new and very active Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorm, heavy rain and hailstorm in many parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Meteorologists say that after this seasonal change, a huge drop of about 6 to 8 degrees Celsius can be recorded in the temperature of the state. With this, people are expected to get great relief from the scorching heat and heat waves that they have been facing for the last several days. However, the Meteorological Department has also made it clear that the humid heat with strong sunlight may trouble people a bit in some areas for the next two days before getting complete relief.

Winds will blow at a speed of 70-80 km, there is also a possibility of lightning

In fact, the Meteorological Department has warned that during this change, destructive dust storms can occur at a speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour in many districts of the state. Along with the storm, there is also a strong possibility of thunder and lightning in the sky. In view of this sudden change in the weather, the administration and the meteorological department have asked people to take special precautions. Strict instructions have been given to avoid standing in open fields, electric poles and under big trees during bad weather.

Alert issued in these districts from Western UP to Purvanchal

Today’s weather in UP is going to change completely and for this a list of districts has been released. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of thunderstorm and rain in Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich, Sitapur, Hardoi, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat as well as in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida and Bulandshahr of Western UP. Apart from this, bad weather is also expected in the surrounding areas including Agra, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Firozabad, Etawah, Bijnor, Moradabad, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjanakari, Badaun and Jhansi.

Not only this, there is also a possibility of heavy hailstorm between 28 and 29 May in many districts including Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Noida, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Bareilly and Moradabad.

Temperature crosses 44 degrees in Ghaziabad, people looked distressed

If we talk about the last two days, the heat has broken all records in many cities of the state. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Ghaziabad and surrounding areas was recorded ranging from 41 to 44 degrees Celsius. There was silence in the markets in the afternoon due to the gust of hot wind (loo). In this scorching heat, the biggest problem was faced by those traffic policemen, laborers and street vendors who are forced to work even in this deadly heat for the sake of their stomach. Common people were seen trying to protect themselves in the markets by covering their faces with cotton clothes and drinking cold beverages like sugarcane juice or lemonade.
