According to media reports, Bangladesh Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, acting on his behalf, ordered the buffalo to be saved from sacrifice. After this it was implemented on Thursday (May 28, 2026). Salahuddin Ahmed says that the money should be returned to the buyer. In the same order, he said that the buffalo known as ‘Donald Trump’ should be sent to the National Zoo in the capital Dhaka under government supervision. After this the officials did the same. On the other hand, according to a ministry official, preparations for the sacrifice of the buffalo popularly known as ‘Donald Trump’ were complete.
