New Delhi: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has launched the 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV in the Indian market, introducing major updates across design, features, and technology. The hatchback starts at an introductory price of ₹4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the electric version is priced from ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago EV under Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model is also available at ₹4.69 lakh with a running cost of ₹2.6 per km. The iCNG variant is priced from ₹5.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The updated model aims to strengthen Tata’s position in the compact hatchback segment, competing with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS.

Exterior Design Gets Sharper and More Modern Look

The 2026 Tiago features a refreshed exterior design, highlighted by new LED headlamps with eyebrow-style DRLs and a redesigned front bumper. A black central panel adds a sportier appearance.

The side profile remains largely unchanged, though the hatchback now gets updated alloy wheel designs. At the rear, the Tiago sports redesigned LED taillights with vertical elements and a connected look. The Tata logo sits prominently at the center of the tailgate, complemented by an updated bumper design with vertical reflectors.

The Tiago EV mirrors much of the ICE version’s styling but features a body-coloured front panel instead of the black insert and gets unique EV badging along with aerodynamic alloy wheels.

Interior Revamp With Bigger Screens and New Layout

Inside, the 2026 Tiago receives a redesigned cabin layout with a more upright dashboard design. It now features a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system and a revised digital driver display.

A two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo adds a modern touch. Climate controls continue with rotary knobs but are now placed on a redesigned center console. The Tiago also offers features like dual wireless charging, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera.

Feature List Focuses on Safety and Comfort

The new Tiago comes equipped with six airbags as standard, electronic stability program, hill-hold assist and improved structural safety. It also includes cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring and auto headlamps, strengthening its safety package.

Engine and EV Specifications

The hatchback continues with a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 86 hp and 113 Nm, along with a CNG option producing 75 hp. Both come with manual and AMT gearbox options, making it the first CNG hatchback with AMT in the segment.

The Tiago EV is offered with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, delivering a claimed range of up to 285 km (MIDC). Fast charging can add up to 100 km in around 18 minutes, depending on the setup.
