A big and relief news has come for crores of people in rural India who are dreaming of having their own permanent house. In this era of rising inflation, the Modi government at the Center has opened its treasury. Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday released the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) for 12 states of the country. This step taken by the government will directly prove to bring a big change in the lives of poor families living in villages.

What is ‘Mother Sanction’ and how will states get the benefit?

If understood in common parlance, ‘Mother Sanction’ is a huge lump sum financial sanction given by the Central Government at the beginning of the year for any scheme. Through this, the states get an idea in advance of how much budget they are going to get in the entire year. After this, the state governments use this fund according to their need and pace of work. The direct aim of the government is to ensure that every homeless family living in rural areas gets a strong and solid roof to shelter their heads.

Dream of more than 3.5 crore poor families fulfilled

During this period, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also presented before the country the account of the success of the scheme so far. The Union Minister said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural About 75 percent of the houses built under this are either directly in the name of women or they have been given joint ownership.
