If you are late for office, ‘spread’ is a great option for breakfast. Usually people buy spreads from the market, which claim to be healthy, but in reality they can be harmful to health. So, instead of buying chemical-laden spreads, it is better to make it easily at home. Its simple recipe is presented here.
Process of making Chili Ghee
First step in preparing chilli ghee
To make chilli ghee, you need 2 tbsp ghee, 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tsp chilli flakes and 1 tsp tandoori masala.
Method of preparation: First of all, place a pan on gas and add ghee in it. When the ghee becomes slightly hot, add all the ingredients and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes. When the spices are cooked well, turn off the gas and keep it aside to cool.
How to make Spicy Ghee-Butter Spread
Step 2: Making the Spicy Ghee-Butter Spread
When your chili ghee cools down, take a mixer grinder. Add 300 grams of unsalted butter in it. Then add prepared chilli ghee, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp curd, 1 tsp salt, 2 dried Kashmiri chillies (crushed), 1 tbsp Kasuri methi and 2 tbsp caramelised onion.
Put all these ingredients in the mixer and grind them well. Your wonderful ‘Spicy Ghee-Butter Spread’ is ready.
How to use spreads

You can use this homemade spread in many ways. Eat it in the morning by applying it on hot roti or toasted bread. Use it when making pasta to give it a creamy and spicy twist. It can also be easily used as a salad dressing.
