The Portugal national football team has chosen to stay at a luxurious hotel during the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

The Selecao das Quinas squad will be accommodated at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, a beachfront luxury resort renowned for its high level of privacy and exclusive service, as reported by The Portugal News.

The hotel is situated in Palm Beach, Florida, only about ten minutes away from Mar-a-Lago, the residence owned by Donald Trump.

This resort will serve as Portugal’s temporary base for approximately two weeks during the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

Portugal is scheduled to arrive in the United States on June 12 to prepare for their opening match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo on June 18 at 00:00 WIB.

The Selecao das Quinas are expected to remain in Palm Beach until the conclusion of the group stage at the end of June.

One of the main reasons Portugal selected the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is its exceptional level of privacy.

The hotel is widely known as a preferred destination for celebrities, world-class athletes, and international dignitaries due to its ability to maintain the comfort and confidentiality of its guests.

Hotel staff are specially trained to serve VIP guests, while the architectural design ensures that guest activities remain out of public view.

In recent years, members of the British royal family and players from Real Madrid have reportedly stayed at this resort.

Originally opened in 1990, the hotel underwent a major renovation in 2018 before reopening a year later with a more modern and elegant appearance.

Today, the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach features 207 rooms and suites designed by renowned designer Martin Brudnizki.

Its interiors reflect the coastal charm of Palm Beach with a sophisticated mid-century style.

During the 2026 World Cup period, standard rooms are expected to cost around 1,000 euros, approximately Rp17.7 million per night.

Meanwhile, some premium suites are priced at over 8,000 euros, or about Rp141 million per night.

Fandi, owner of Cybersoccer Store Ungaran, revealed that customer interest has been climbing noticeably over the past few months.

According to him, many customers are buying jerseys early to avoid the price hikes that typically occur once the World Cup reaches its crucial phases.

“The excitement has been building for months. Many customers prefer to buy now because they fear prices will rise once the tournament starts,” said Fandi, as quoted by Tribun Jateng.

He added that jerseys of top teams continue to dominate sales.

Argentina, Portugal, and Germany are the three countries with the highest demand ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Fandi noted that Argentina’s popularity is driven by Lionel Messi, who is expected to play his final World Cup, while Portugal enjoys a similar effect thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Argentina is popular because Messi will likely make this his last World Cup, so many fans buy jerseys as a keepsake. Portugal also benefits because of Ronaldo. Germany, on the other hand, always has a strong fan base and remains a favourite team,” he explained.

With several weeks still remaining before the 2026 World Cup kick-off, the trend of rising jersey sales is expected to continue, especially if the top teams start performing impressively during the tournament.

For football fans, the World Cup is not just about the matches—it’s also a moment to express support for their teams and their idols, who may be making their final appearance on the world’s biggest football stage.
