Chandigarh: There’s no stopping Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old from Bihar who has made a habit of leaving cricket lovers awestruck every time he goes out to bat.

His exploits in IPL 2026 has made cricket statisticians work overtime as the chubby-faced prodigy goes about shattering records like it’s his birthright.

The other day, Sooryavanshi plundered 97 off 33 deliveries at Dharamsala to eliminate Sunrisers Hyderabad and propel Rajasthan Royals to within a win of the final.

On Friday, Sooryavanshi missed another century by one stroke in Qualifier 2 versus Gujarat Titans, going for a glory shot off a Kagiso Rabada short ball only to offer an easy catch to deep thirdman fielder Prasidh Krishna. His 96 off 47 balls was comparatively slow by his standards, but it sent several more records tumbling.
