Persib Bandung or Persija Jakarta — are they interested? A high-value player has expressed interest in playing in Liga 1 for the 2026/2027 season.
According to TribunWow.com, the player in question is Pedro Henrique Alves de Almeida.
Pedro Henrique, as he is commonly known, is reportedly keen to explore opportunities in Liga 1 during the 2026/2027 season.
This information was shared by an Instagram account focusing on Indonesian football and transfer rumours, @fabrizioasia_, on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
“A former player for Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, the Chinese League, and now playing in Brazil’s Serie A with Vitoria!! Interested in coming to Indonesia,” the account posted.
Pedro Henrique is a striker with a market value that is considered quite high for Liga 1 standards, estimated at Rp26.07 billion.
His worrying injury record, however, should be a major concern for any Liga 1 club considering signing him.
He faces a potential risk of injury due to the intense and physical style of play in Indonesian football.
It will be interesting to see whether clubs like Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta, Dewa United, or Borneo FC will make a move to sign Pedro Henrique.
Former Real Madrid Star Reportedly Reaches Deal with a Liga 1 Club
Meanwhile, reports are circulating that a former Real Madrid star will play in Liga 1 during the 2026/2027 season.
Although his identity has yet to be officially confirmed, the player is said to have already reached an agreement with one of the top-tier Indonesian clubs.
Leaks have since emerged revealing the identity of this player.
The player is believed to be Jese Rodriguez.
This information was shared by another football-focused Instagram account, @allabouutgaruda.
“He has played for Real Madrid, played for JDT (Johor Darul Takzim), and is now 33 years old. He is Jese Rodriguez. Reportedly, one of the Super League clubs has reached an agreement to sign him,” wrote the account @allabouutgaruda.
Jese Rodriguez is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy.
He was part of the Real Madrid senior team during the 2011/2012 season and again from 2013/2014 until 2015/2016.
He has experienced top-level European competitions with Real Madrid, including La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League (UCL), and the FIFA Club World Cup.
During his two stints with Real Madrid, Jese Rodriguez made 94 appearances, logging 3,089 minutes across all competitions.
From those 94 matches, he scored 18 goals and provided 15 assists, along with receiving four yellow cards.
Jese Rodriguez also collected several major trophies with Real Madrid, including the UCL, FIFA Club World Cup, Copa del Rey, and La Liga titles.
Apart from Real Madrid, Jese Rodriguez has also played for several well-known clubs such as Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain, and Stoke City.
In the 2025/2026 season, Jese Rodriguez played for Spanish second division side UD Las Palmas.
He made 33 appearances, totaling 1,848 minutes, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in the 2025/2026 La Liga 2 campaign.
His contract with UD Las Palmas is set to expire on 30 June 2026.
As his contract nears its end, reports suggest that Jese Rodriguez is preparing to move to Liga 1.
However, it remains unclear whether Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta, Dewa United, or Garudayaksa FC will be his next destination.
The account @allabouutgaruda provided a clue regarding Jese Rodriguez’s potential new club, suggesting that the team has blue as its primary colour.
“Rumour has it, it’s that Blue club. What do you think?” the account wrote.
There are three major Indonesian clubs with blue as their team colour — Persib Bandung, Arema FC, and PSIM Yogyakarta.
Additionally, there is also a newly promoted club with a blue theme, Adhyaksa FC.
Fans are now waiting to see where Jese Rodriguez will end up after being linked with a move to Indonesian football for the 2026/2027 season.
