Reuse of expired makeup: Has your favorite moisturizer expired? Are you worried that your perfume has become old? If yes, then here we are going to tell you some ways by which you can re-use old makeup products for many other household purposes.

Many times it happens with us that the makeup is not used much and it gets expired. In such a situation we have to throw them away. You can use it for cleaning things in your house or as a room freshener.

Use expired makeup in these ways

• toner

Many toners are alcohol based and can be used in cleaning many household items even after they expire. You can clean the mirrors of the bathroom or dressing table with this. You can also use expired toner as a cleaning agent.

If any of your expensive cleansers have expired, you can use expired cleanser to clean makeup brushes. For this, put 2 spoons of cleanser in a vessel, dip the makeup brush in it and leave it for some time. After this, take it out and wash it with clean water and dry it.

• Moisturizer

If your daily moisturizer expires, you can use it to clean leather bags or furniture. For this, take a soft cloth and put a few drops of moisturizer on the cloth. Clean your leather bag thoroughly with this cloth, this will bring shine to the bag. Moisturizer acts as a polish for leather items and will add shine to the leather items.

• lipstick

We all have many lipsticks of different shades. Instead of throwing away your favorite lipstick, you can make a nice tinted lip balm from it. For this, first take out your lipstick in a small bowl and keep the bowl in hot water for some time. By doing this the lipstick will melt and all its bacteria will be destroyed. Now mix it with your Vaseline or petroleum jelly. And put it in a small box and keep it in the refrigerator.

Generally mascara should be used within 6-8 months as it expires soon. But even after they expire, you can use them on your eyebrows. If the eyebrows are turning grey, use mascara to color them.

• eyeshadow

Generally the lifespan of eyeshadow is one to two and a half years. In such a situation, you can make a new shade by putting your expired eyeshadow in nail polish and use it. To make this, take a clear nail polish and add eyeshadow pigments to it and mix well.

Many times, if perfume is not used, it expires and we consider it useless and throw it away. You should never throw away expired perfume, rather you can use it as a room freshener and fragrance in the toilet.
