Why Are Fuel Prices Rising?
The ongoing tension and conflict in the Middle East are having a visible impact on the global energy market. India imports a significant portion of its energy requirements from the Gulf nations. Consequently, disruptions in supply have exerted upward pressure on fuel prices. Approximately 40 percent of India’s crude oil, 65 percent of its natural gas, and 90 percent of its LPG are sourced from the Gulf countries. LPG Prices Change Every Month
In India, the prices of LPG cylinders are typically revised on the first day of every month. These prices are influenced by international crude oil rates, the Dollar-Rupee exchange rate, transportation costs, and government policies.
