How To Find & Reach Ellis White In 007: First Light

In 007: First Light, Ellis White is one of the key targets that James Bond must track during a stealth-focused mission set inside a luxury coastal resort. Unlike several objectives that can be completed through direct action, reaching Ellis White requires careful infiltration, social manipulation, and smart gadget usage. The mission is designed to test a player’s ability to blend into the environment rather than overpower every obstacle. Because the game provides only limited guidance, many players spend a significant amount of time searching for the correct path. Fortunately, once you understand the sequence, finding and reaching Ellis White becomes much easier.

Starting the Search for Ellis White

After arriving at the resort area, begin moving down the main staircase and follow the route leading southeast. Continue along the stone pathways and coastal steps until you eventually reach the Ocean View Bar. This location is extremely important because Ellis White is attending a private gathering there.

The problem is that two guards are stationed outside the entrance. They refuse to allow anyone inside without proof of an invitation. Simply attempting to walk past them will fail, forcing you to find another way into the party.

Take a moment to observe the surrounding area. Shortly after interacting with the guards, two women will approach and sit nearby. They are carrying the party flyer needed to gain access to the event.

How to Get Inside the Ocean View Bar

To enter the party, you must obtain the invitation flyer without attracting attention. This section rewards patience and precision. Using Bond’s gadgets, such as the Phone Dart or the Laser Strap, allows you to create a quick opportunity to take the flyer.

Once the women are distracted, retrieve the invitation and return to the guards. Presenting the flyer immediately grants access to the Ocean View Bar. Completing this step also unlocks the Party Crasher challenge.

Following the Trail to the Bar Keys

After entering the party, locate Ellis White and approach the area where he is socializing. The mission then shifts focus toward obtaining the bar keys. Another character named Jonty becomes part of the objective and helps direct the next stage of the infiltration.

Before speaking extensively with the bartender, inspect the wine menu positioned on the bar counter. Many players miss this detail, but it is necessary for one of the optional challenges connected to Ellis White.

Once the menu has been examined, speak with the bartender and choose the option to order something from the menu. This causes the bartender to temporarily leave the area, opening a path toward the restricted storage section behind the counter.

Successfully completing this step unlocks the Blanc the Brut challenge.

Retrieving the Ocean View Bar Keys

Head through the doors behind the bar and enter the storage room. This area contains another obstacle because two guards are watching the route that leads to the keys.

Instead of confronting them directly, look around the room for environmental tools. A red toolbox nearby contains a hose mechanism that can be activated. Turning on the water creates a distraction, drawing both guards away from their positions for a brief period.

Use this opening to move past them, collect the bar keys, and continue toward the exit route. Remaining undetected is essential if you want to complete the Key Master challenge.

Trying to rush through the area or force a confrontation often results in detection. The stealth approach is by far the safest and most efficient option.

Reaching Ellis White and Planting the Q-Trak

With the keys secured, return to Jonty and proceed back to Ellis White. Access to the minibar becomes available, allowing Bond to prepare a drink for the target.

After Ellis White accepts the drink, Bond automatically plants the Q-Trak tracking device. This marks the successful completion of the target objective and allows players to continue progressing through the broader story campaign.
