Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reaffirmed their dominance in European football after clinching the UEFA Champions League title for the 2025/2026 season.

The Paris-based club secured the championship after defeating Arsenal in the final held at Puskas Arena, Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday night, 30 May 2026.

According to reports from Tribun Batam, the match was fiercely contested from the opening whistle.

Arsenal took an early lead through Kai Havertz’s goal in the sixth minute.

However, PSG managed to equalise in the 65th minute through a penalty converted by Ousmane Dembele.

The score remained 1-1 through full time and extra time, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.

In the shootout, PSG triumphed 4-3 after two Arsenal players failed to convert their spot-kicks.

Meanwhile, four out of five PSG penalty takers successfully found the back of the net.

This victory marked PSG’s consecutive UEFA Champions League triumph, following their win in the 2024/2025 season when they defeated Inter Milan in the final.

France’s Most Successful Club

According to PSG’s official website, the club, founded in 1970, has grown into one of the most influential sports institutions in the world.

PSG is not only recognised for its football achievements but also as a multi-sport organisation involved in handball, judo, and esports.

In its official statement, PSG proudly identifies itself as the most accomplished French club, continuously striving for excellence, innovation, and the ambition to reach the highest level in every competition.

Known by the nickname “Les Parisiens”, the club embodies the elegant, modern, and cosmopolitan lifestyle of Paris.

With millions of fans across the globe, PSG has evolved beyond a sports entity into a global brand and cultural icon.

Beyond its on-field success, PSG actively engages in social initiatives through its “PSG for Communities” programme.

Since its inception in 2000, the initiative has supported thousands of underprivileged children and teenagers through educational, social, and sports-related activities, as well as awareness programmes in various countries.
