POS-KUPANG.COM, TAMBOLAKA - Yos de Ornay, Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for Southwest Sumba Regency (SBD), has placed his bet on Brazil to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, Brazil currently boasts a generation of exceptionally talented young players who have gained valuable experience playing for top European clubs. This combination of youth and experience fuels their ambition to end the nation’s long wait for another World Cup title since last lifting the trophy in the 2002 Korea-Japan tournament.

For that reason, Yos believes that other national teams should be cautious of the Brazilian squad, known as the Samba Team, if they want to avoid disappointment in the upcoming 2026 World Cup campaign.

“It has been quite some time since Brazil last won the World Cup, so this year they are coming with full strength and a clear mission to win every match they play, paving the way to lift the 2026 World Cup trophy,” he emphasised.

Yos further stated that this time Brazil will perform with strong confidence, reviving their status as a football powerhouse that not only commands respect but also carries the mentality of champions. He added that the Brazilian team’s rich legacy and determination will drive them to reclaim the World Cup title in 2026. (pet)
