Vehicle manufacturer Mercedes Benz is preparing to launch its most premium sedan car Mercedes Benz S Class Facelift in India. The company will officially launch this new updated car in the market on June 15, 2026. Advanced electronic architecture and hybrid engine technology has been included in this new model.

The biggest change in the new Mercedes-Benz S Class facelift will be seen in its engine and powertrain. This car is being provided with a 3 liter turbo petrol engine, which will work together with a powerful electric motor. This combined engine setup generates 435 horsepower and 680 Newton meters of torque. Considering the heavy traffic in metros like Delhi and Mumbai, its hybrid system will prove to be very helpful.

The biggest feature of this car is the new battery technology given in it. The company claims that after full charging, this luxury car can be driven up to 100 kilometers only in EV mode. This means that you will not need petrol for everyday local travel.

New electronic architecture and cabin features

Mercedes-Benz has completely changed the interior and software of this facelift model. A new electronic architecture has been provided inside the car which makes the infotainment system faster and smoother than before. Keeping in mind the needs of corporate executives and business class customers in VIP areas like Chanakyapuri and Lutyens Delhi, the comfort of its rear cabin has been doubled. New safety features and updated sensors of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) have been added to it.

Market impact of launch and booking details

In the Indian market, this vehicle will compete directly with BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 L. Inquiries regarding this car have already started at the dealerships of Delhi, Gurugram and Noida.

The company will officially announce its prices on June 15. According to experts, after the addition of new hybrid system and features, its ex-showroom price may see an increase as compared to the previous model. Delivery of the car is expected to start from the last week of June.
