Pakistani grooming gangs who sexually abuse children and minors have been revealed in the British parliament. In Britain, MP Rupert Low appealed to the Parliament by highlighting the statements of the victims, to take strict action against the criminals after listening to the statements of the victims. On the basis of personal investigation, he told the parliament that numerous minors have been subjected to unbearable torture day after day. But everyone from the police to the administration kept their eyes closed.

In 2003, Britain was hit by the grooming gang scandal. This report was first published in ‘The Times’. The investigation revealed that Pakistanis were running this terrible crime ring sitting on British soil. The gang targeted helpless, vulnerable, white British girls aged 11 to 16. MP Rupert Lowe presented a victim’s statement in Parliament. Where one victim says, he was 12 years old at that time. At that time, someone inserted a bottle of wine into his genitals. Another victim claimed that they kept her as a sex slave for 3 years. He was 13 years old then. During this time 600 to 700 men raped her. Another 15-year-old girl said that she was bleeding profusely from her vagina and anus due to torture. The situation was so dire that there was no way to sit down.

In 2023, then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak formed a task force to prevent sexual exploitation of children. More than 550 suspects were arrested in a year thereafter.

There was no end to torture as well as sexual abuse. According to another victim, she was kept in a dog cage with 15 to 20 other girls in a van. A minor was even raped with a dog. Many people were present there to see that scene. They were videoing the incident and laughing. If these incidents were told to anyone, the family would be threatened to be killed. In some cases cases of caste discrimination have come to the fore. According to one victim, these perpetrators looked down on white and Christian girls and considered Muslim women worthy of honor and dignity. In one such case, when a minor girl became pregnant, the father of the perpetrator, who was also an imam, arranged for the victim to marry his son and the victim was never allowed to meet his child.

The MP claimed that the activities of such gangs have come to light in at least 85 areas of Britain. According to the investigation, the members of this gang are of Pakistani origin. The administration also does not show any special initiative in this regard. The growth of this gang is due to the extreme negligence of the police and the failure of the administration. It should be noted that this gang’s reputation was first noticed in the city of Rotherham in Yorkshire, Britain. Between 1997 and 2013, more than 1,400 children were sexually abused there. According to a 2014 report by Professor Alexis Jay, the administration also refused to intervene in the matter. The same incident was repeated in around 50 other towns, including Rochdale, Oxford, Telford and Bristol.

In 2023, then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak formed a task force to prevent sexual exploitation of children. More than 550 suspects were arrested in a year thereafter. According to the data, more than 115,000 cases of sexual offenses against children were recorded in 2023, of which 3.7 percent were committed by gangs.
