New Delhi, June 2. Government of India has invited nominations for the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award (PMRBP) 2026. The last date of application and nomination for this prestigious honor given to children who have achieved extraordinary achievements in various fields has been set as July 31, 2026. The award is presented by the President.

Applications will be made through online portal only

Nominations can be submitted online only on the official National Awards Portal (National Awards Portal). Detailed information regarding application process, eligibility and nomination is provided on the portal.

5 From 18 Children aged 15 to 15 years are eligible

Children in the age group of five to 18 years are eligible for this award as on July 31, 2026. Nomination can be done by the child himself, any person or any organization.

Awards will be given in six categories

Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2026 will be awarded in six categories. These include bravery, social service, environment, sports, art and culture and science and technology. Children who have made significant contributions in these areas will be honored.

Detailed description of achievements required in application

In the application form, personal details of the nominated child, his/her achievements and their impact in maximum 1000 words, supporting documents and recent photograph have to be uploaded. The application can also be saved as a draft and amended before final submission.

Detailed step by step instructions to the registration and nomination process are available under the Notification tab on the portal page of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2026. A downloaded copy of the application can also be obtained after submission.

Appeal to nominate eligible children

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has appealed to parents, teachers, institutions and citizens to cooperate in applying or nominating deserving children for this prestigious honor. According to the ministry, this award is an honor to give recognition to young talents at the national level.
