The organization has clearly said that El Niño is going to return soon, due to which we may have to face terrible and extreme weather conditions in the coming days. According to a report published in The Guardian, WMO i.e. World Meteorological Organization has shared this important information on Tuesday. The organization says that this extremely powerful and nature- weather pattern, which suddenly increases the temperature all over the world, is going to knock soon. With its arrival, the rain situation at some places becomes worse. According to this model, the speed of return of this cyclical phenomenon occurring in the ocean and atmosphere is being estimated to be at least moderate or very fast. Meteorologists have expressed apprehension that this year may prove to be the most powerful El Nino so far. However, the organization itself has expressed some doubt as to how accurate these warnings will be.

El Nino will add fuel to the fire of rising temperatures

Giving information about this, WMO Director General Celeste Saulo said that this time a lot of diversity is being seen in the pattern of return of El Nino. There are some meteorological models which are not giving any indication of any very powerful El Nino, while some other models are showing that it is very dangerous. On this serious situation, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has said that the whole world should take it directly as a big warning about climate change. These changing conditions of El Nino will add petrol or ghee to the fire of the world’s already continuously rising temperature. Its effects will be very strong and spread very far, which means that it can even cross destructive limits.

Let us remind you that earlier in the year 2023 and 2024 also El Nino had knocked. It was one of the five most powerful El Nino periods in history. Due to its effect, the year 2024 was considered to be the hottest year ever, which completely destroyed all the previous records of global temperature rise.

According to meteorologists, every event of El Nino is quite unique and different in itself. Scientists generally associate its impact with drastic changes in parts of South America, the Horn of Africa and Central Asia.
