During an appearance on RMC Sport’s programme Rothen s’enflamme, Olympique Lyonnais’ technical director Matthieu Louis-Jean hinted that the club might be willing to welcome Endrick (19) back in the future.
The Brazilian forward joined Lyon on loan from Real Madrid in January after struggling to secure playing time at the Santiago Bernabéu. Eager to earn a spot in Brazil’s squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Endrick sought regular minutes, and Lyon moved swiftly to secure his services before the transfer window officially opened, beating several other clubs to his signature.
Endrick played a key role in Lyon’s strong second half of the campaign. Across 21 appearances in all competitions, he recorded eight goals and eight assists, also achieving the first hat-trick of his professional career.
His impressive form earned him a call-up to Brazil’s national team and boosted his chances of returning to Real Madrid’s first-team plans next season. Although another loan spell currently appears unlikely, Louis-Jean did not completely rule out the idea. “Another loan? At the moment, I would say not. Impossible. But… often, Endrick talks about God. So we will see. He is a great lad,” the technical director stated.
