Neem leaves: It is very important to take care of the cleanliness of the water tank of the house. But in most of the houses, it is cleaned once in a year, due to which moss and bacteria start growing in it. People adopt many tips for cleaning it, one of them is putting neem leaves in the water tank. But do you know what happens when you put Neem leaves in the water tank? Here we are telling you what happens when you put Neem leaves in the water tank.

1. Natural insecticide

Powerful compounds like azadirachtin, nimbin and nimbidin are found in neem leaves. These elements have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. When you put the leaves in the tank, these elements slowly dissolve in the water and eliminate the bacteria growing in the water.

2. Protection from mosquitoes and insects
During summer and rainy season, mosquitoes start breeding in water tanks, which increases the risk of diseases. In such a situation, Neem works as a natural insect repellent. By putting neem leaves in the water of the tank, mosquitoes are not able to lay their eggs in it, due to which the mosquito larvae are destroyed and the water becomes clean.

3. Clear moss
Due to sunlight and moisture, algae accumulates on the walls of the water tank. This algae contaminates the water and causes foul smell in it. In such a situation, use of neem leaves can get rid of it. The anti-fungal properties of Neem prevent algae from forming on the walls of the tank.

4. Remove foul smell from water
Many times, when the water in the tank is stored, a strange odor starts coming from it. Adding neem leaves will remove foul smell and will also eliminate bacteria from water.

correct way to use
Pluck leaves from one or two fresh neem branches and wash them thoroughly. Then tie these leaves in a clean, thin cotton cloth and make a bundle. Put this bundle in the water of the tank. Keep changing this bundle every 15 to 20 days.
